Discover iconic Flores Island, starting from Ende – a gateway to the famous three colour lakes of Kelimutu National Park. Explore traditional houses of the Lio Tribe, in Wologai. Head to Bena Village in Bajawa, and Kampung Todo Village in Manggarai. Go island hopping within the north of Flores Island. Visit 17 Island National Park in Ruing, and Komodo National Park in the south west of Flores. Our itinerary can be tailor made to your specific needs. Itinerary

DAY 01: BALI – ENDE – MONI

Early morning flight from Denpasar Ngurah Rai Airport to Ende Hasan Aeroboesman. Our local representative will greet you upon arrival, and take you to Moni. Enroute stops will be made in Nua Bosi, to enjoy the view of Ende Bay, followed by Detusoko, to glimpse the terraced rice fields and cloves plantation, and finally, Ndua Ria fruit local market. Proceed to Moni, where your accommodation and dinner will be waiting.

DAY 03: RIUNG – SEVENTEEN ISLAND – BAJAWA

After breakfast, start your journey to explore the exotic islands of Riung 17 National Park. Head to the harbor, and sail to Ontoloe Island, to watch the flying foxes amidst the mangroves. Continue to the blissful, balmy islands of Tembang and Pulau Tiga. Snorkel alongside perfect coral reefs, swim in turquoise blue waters, and hike to the summit of Rutong for a breath-taking view of Riung 17 Islands. Enjoy a lunch of fresh grilled fish on Rutong or Pulau 3 Island. In the afternoon, sail back to Riung, to freshen up for the next sojourn. Proceed to Soa, to bask in the warm waters that flow from natural hot springs. Make a pit stop at one of the local events. In the afternoon, drive to Bajawa town. Dinner and overnight stay in Bajawa.

DAY 04: BAJAWA – BENA – RUTENG

Kickstart your day with an 18km drive to the south of Bajawa town, to see Bena, the biggest traditional village in Flores Island. Glimpse the megalithic stones and hand weaving craft. Once back in Bajawa, head to Aimere District – one of the famous local “Arak” distillations in Flores Island. Continue the drive to Ranamese, to see the beautiful lake and rice terraces. In the afternoon, arrive in Ruteng. Enjoy dinner and an overnight stay.

DAY 05: RUTENG – LEMBOR – LABUAN BAJO

Begin your morning with a drive to Golo Curu, to catch views of scenic Ruteng town and its stunning rice terraces. Head to Cara village, next, to see a spider web rice field called Lingko. Drive down to Lembor to witness the biggest rice field irrigation plant in Flores Island. Lunch will be served at Warung, in Lembor. Afterward, drive to Culu, Melo village, to glimpse the tiny islands surrounding Komodo National Park. A late afternoon drive to Labuan Bajo town will lead you to your accommodation for the night. Dinner will be served at your hotel or a local restaurant. Note – Golo Hilltop Hotel, Lacecile Hotel, Elang Hill Side Bambu Villa, and Purisari Hotel, are some of the many wonderful options available in town.

DAY 06: LABUAN BAJO – RINCA – PINK BEACH – KALONG

After breakfast, sail to Rinca Island on a rustic wooden boat. Arrive at the Bay of Loh Buaya, Rinca, where you will be met by the rangers from Komodo National Park. After registration/check in, begin your trek into the bush, to observe the Komodo dragon and other stunning wild life such as long tail macaque, Timor deer, wild boar, etc. Return to the boat to continue your journey to Pink beach, another wonderful snorkelling spot. Explore the beauty of coral reefs and plenty of tropical fish within the crystal-clear waters. Unwind by sunbathing on the pink sand beach. Lunch will be served on the boat. In the afternoon, sail to Kalong Island, where the boat will anchor overnight. Enjoy dinner onboard.

DAY 07: KALONG – KOMODO ISLAND – MANTA POINT – LABUAN BAJO

Sail to Komodo Island, where you can enjoy your breakfast enroute. Arrive at the Bay of Loh Buaya, where you will be met by the rangers from Komodo National Park for registration. Trek to see the Komodo dragon in its natural habitat, along with other majestic wild life such as Timor deer, long tail macaque, water buffaloes, and megapods birds. Take a peek into the nest of the Komodo dragon, where, if your lucky, you might just spot the baby hiding in a tree! Afterward, head back to the boat, and depart to Karang Makasar. Swim in crystal clear waters at Manta point; with luck, you should see groups of Manta rays. Afterward, proceed to Labuanbajo, for a transfer to your hotel. Dinner will be served at the hotel or local restaurant.

DAY 08: LABUAN BAJO – BALI

Your morning is free to lounge at the hotel or take a city tour. With the latter, you get to explore the limestone stone cave, Gua Batu Cermin, founded by a Dutch priest. Glimpse the stalactites, stalagmites, and coral stone fossils. The cave is 19 hectares in size and 75 meters in height! Afterwards, transfer to the airport to get your flight back to Bali

Itinerary

DAY 01: BALI – ENDE – MONI

At pre-dawn, drive to the top of Kelimutu mountain, to see the sunrise (weather permitting) and the wonderful three colored lake. Return to Moni for breakfast at the hotel. Head to the traditional village of Wologai, Lio tribes. Continue towards Ende town, for lunch at a local restaurant. Post lunch, veer towards the west of the town into Nanga Penda beach, to glimpse blue stones along a long, black sand beach. Proceed to Mbay, to witness rice field irrigation. Continue to Riung, for your dinner and overnight stay.

Explore the beauty of coral reefs and plenty of tropical fish within the crystal-clear waters. Unwind by sunbathing on the pink sand beach. Lunch will be served on the boat. In the afternoon, sail to Kalong Island, where the boat will anchor overnight. Enjoy dinner onboard.

DAY 07: KALONG – KOMODO ISLAND – MANTA POINT – LABUAN BAJO
