Itinerary

DAY 01: BALI – MAUMERE – MONI

Morning flight from Denpasar Ngurah Rai Airport to Frans Xavier Seda Airport, Maumere. Our local representative will greet you upon arrival, and take you to Moni – a small village on the slope of Kelimutu Lake. Enroute stops include Wuring Fishermen Village, followed by Sikka for the tour of an old catholic church that was built by Jesuit and Sikkanese missionaries. Proceed to Paga, and relax on a black sand beach, where lunch will be served at a local restaurant. After lunch, continue to Jopu, a traditional house of the Ende Lioness Tribe, with unique interior and exterior construction. At last, drive up to Moni village, which is the central point to visit to Kelimutu Lake. Check into the hotel, where dinner will be served.

DAY 02: MONI – KELIMUTU – BAJAWA

At pre-dawn, drive to the top of Kelimutu mountain, to see the sunrise (weather permitting) and the wonderful three colored lake. Return to Moni for breakfast. Head to the traditional village of Wologai, Lio tribes. A stop will be made at Nua Bosi, to enjoy the vista of Ende town, with Mt Iya and Meja, one of Flores’ famous volcanos in the background. Continue to Nanga Penda, to see the beautiful blue stone beach. Continue the drive to Mbay, to see the beautiful rice field with its amazing panorama of the savannah that surrounds the village. Afterward, drive through to Riung for your overnight accommodation and dinner.

DAY 03: BAJAWA – BENA – RUTENG

Your day begins with a drive to the south of Bajawa to see Bena – the biggest traditional village in Flores Island. Glimpse the megalithic stones and hand weaving craft. Once back in Bajawa, head to Aimere District – one of the famous local “Arak” distillations in Flores Island. Continue the drive to Ruteng, stopping enroute at Ranamese to see the beautiful lake and rice terraces. In the afternoon, arrive in Ruteng.

DAY 04: RUTENG – LEMBOR – LABUAN BAJO

Begin your morning with a drive to Golo Curu, to catch views of scenic Ruteng town and its stunning rice terraces. Head to Cara village, next, to see a spider web rice field called Lingko. Drive down to Lembor to witness the biggest rice field irrigation plant in Flores Island. Lunch will be served at Warung, in Lembor. Afterward, drive to Culu, Melo village, to glimpse the tiny islands surrounding Komodo National Park. A late afternoon drive to Labuan Bajo town will lead you to your accommodation for the night. Dinner will be served at your hotel or a local restaurant. Note – Golo Hilltop Hotel, Lacecile Hotel, Elang Hill Side Bambu Villa, and Purisari Hotel, are some of the many wonderful options available in town.

DAY 05: LABUAN BAJO – KANAWA ISLAND – KELOR ISLAND – MENJERITE – KALONG

Start the day off on a refreshing note, with a private cruise from Phinisi to Kanawa Island – a famous spot known for its coral reefs and white sand beach. Once back on board, continue to Kelor Island, a paradise for trekking, snorkelling and sunbathing. Head to Menjerite, another wonderful snorkelling nook. Lunch will be served on the boat.Afterwards, proceed to Kalong Island, where the boat will anchor overnight. Dinner be served onboard.

DAY06: PADAR ISLAND – KOMODO ISLAND – PINK BEACH – TAKA MAKASAR – MANTA POINT -LABUAN BAJO

Enjoy breakfast on the boat, as you sail to Padar Island. Trek to the summit for a gorgeous panoramic view of the environs. Return to the boat, and head to Komodo Island. Arrive at the Bay of Loh Buaya, where you will be met by the rangers from Komodo National Park for registration. Trek to see the Komodo dragon in its natural habitat, along with other majestic wild life such as Timor deer, long tail macaque, water buffaloes, and megapods birds. Take a peek into the nest of the Komodo dragon, where, if you’re lucky, you might just spot the baby hiding in a tree! Afterward, head back to the boat, and depart to Karang Makasar. Swim in crystal clear waters at Manta point; with luck, you should see groups of Manta rays. Afterward, proceed to Labuanbajo, for a transfer to your hotel. Dinner will be served at the hotel or local restaurant.

DAY 07: LABUAN BAJO – BALI

Your morning is free to lounge at the hotel or take a city tour. With the latter, you get to explore the limestone stone cave, Gua Batu Cermin, founded by a Dutch priest. Glimpse the stalactites, stalagmites, and coral stone fossils. The cave is 19 hectares in size and 75 meters in height! Afterwards, transfer to the airport to get your flight back to Bali.
